Thoughts for the day

So I wonder why it is that ever since I got a car I've turned into a taxi or bus, depending on how many people end up in the backseat. See the problem is that I am a licensed driver with a car and just about nothing to do. I don't think you really realize how much of an unsociable loser you are until you actually acquire your own vehicle. I always thought, as i waited forever freezing my butt off waiting for a ride, "When I get a car, I'll never be late, and I'll pick everyone up on time, and I'll go so many places that I've never even dreamed of." Then I'd go back to walking around to keep warm. Now a days the most exciting thing I do in my car is maybe go the grocery store or, if I'm lucky, the mall. And as for being on time to everything, I do my best, and usually end up like ten minutes early to everything because, as I said before, I have nothing else to do.
I now have figured out, however, how to curb the lonely loseritis and boredom of no where to go. I get myself intentionally lost. I consider myself fairly well versed in the streets and short cuts of little Payson, so I have to really go out of my way to even get a little lost. Sometimes I go over to Spanish Fork or Springville. I don't even attempt Elk Ridge unless I am seriously out of my mind bored. So that sort of makes the boring drive to school and back, five days a week, my life basically, a little more easy to deal with.

  1. I have an idea...you can take some of my way to busyness and I'll take some of your extra time, so that way, we'll both have something to do most of the time and only be bored occasionally.
